Terms of Service

Last updated: June 3, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Bonds API service ("Service"), including the website, API endpoints, dashboard, and documentation, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and Bonds API ("we", "us", "our"). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

Bonds API provides a RESTful API service that delivers sovereign bond yield data for 60+ countries. The Service includes access to API endpoints, a developer dashboard, API key management, usage analytics, and related documentation.

We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date bond yield data; however, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data. The data provided is for informational purposes only and should not be considered financial advice.

3. Account Registration

To access the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys.
  • All activities that occur under your account.
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You must be at least 18 years old or have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction to use the Service.

4. API Usage and Rate Limits

Your use of the API is subject to the rate limits and request quotas associated with your subscription plan. You agree not to:

  • Exceed the rate limits or request quotas of your plan.
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any rate limiting mechanisms.
  • Share, sell, or redistribute your API keys to third parties.
  • Use the API in a manner that degrades the Service for other users.
  • Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download data beyond your plan's allowance.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.

5. Subscription Plans and Billing

The Service offers paid subscription plans, each with a 7-day free trial period. A valid payment method is required to start a trial. For all plans:

  • Billing is processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
  • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on your selection.
  • You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time through the dashboard.
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No prorated refunds are provided for partial periods.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' prior notice. Existing subscriptions will be honored until renewal.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, data structures, API design, documentation, trademarks, and other intellectual property associated with the Service are owned by Bonds API or its licensors.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the data retrieved through the API for your own applications and products. You may not resell the raw data as a standalone dataset or competing API service.

7. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

Bond yield data is sourced from multiple public and institutional sources. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy:

  • Data may be delayed, incomplete, or contain errors.
  • The Service is not a substitute for professional financial advice or real-time trading data.
  • We are not responsible for any financial losses or decisions made based on the data provided.

8. Service Availability

We aim to provide 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users in advance of planned downtime.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, without prior notice, if:

  • You violate these Terms or any applicable law.
  • Your use of the Service poses a security risk or negatively impacts other users.
  • Your account has been inactive for an extended period.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through the dashboard settings. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease and any unused subscription time will not be refunded.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BONDS API SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bonds API, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Bonds API operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the competent courts of said jurisdiction.
